ABSTRACT
Dream characters are an important ingredient of dreams – family members, partners, friends, schoolmates – that is, dreams are very social. The long dream series allowed analyses like the decline of partner dreams after separation or the frequency of schoolmates in dreams even after decades of finishing school. A very interesting topic is “blending” – the dream characters consisted of several persons – e.g., to different former partners – and the dreamer is aware of this in the dream. This phenomenon shows nicely how creative dreams are. Taking a look at celebrities in dreams reflects the interests of the dreamer – e.g., dreaming of chess grandmasters.
