ABSTRACT

There is substantial variation in marriage longevity and divorce rates worldwide. Unequivocal statements on the relative latent loyalty of gay marriages are difficult to find, though there’s general agreement that same-sex couples are less likely to divorce in the United States. There is substantial variation in marriage longevity and divorce rates worldwide. The question of the cross-cultural status of loyalty presents many challenges for study but also many opportunities to engage with essential questions. However, the idea of long-term employment, and any associated feelings of loyalty, has eroded significantly in Japan and in several other countries. The rescuing helicopter was swamped by a wave and crashed, and six of the seven just-rescued crew drowned. The survivor was a cadet (apprentice) from either India or the People’s Republic of China, who insisted on remaining with the skeleton crew out of “loyalty to the Master”.
