ABSTRACT
Creative inquiry is a process of engaging deliberately with both the known and the unknown during the unfolding of a lesson or unit. In this chapter, the authors illuminate how creative inquiry is related to, but not to be confused with, more narrow standards, objectives, or goals. Creative inquiry is introduced as a classroom framing that builds upon the knowledge of both teacher and learner and creates the opportunity for expanded outcomes and collective wisdom building.
