ABSTRACT

Chapter Five expounds, compares, and discusses the sources of authority of the three constitutional orders. The Chapter first considers and compares the sources from which the legal orders originates and then, the sources where law is to be found. The Chapter shows that the Warlpiri, Yolngu, and Pintupi legal ontologies locate the genesis of their constitutional orders and the sources of Ancestral Laws in normativeand legal dimensions, and material expressions that go well beyond the Western positivist taxonomies on the sources of a legal system and law.
