ABSTRACT
This chapter is a summary and synthesis of the research findings about road crews and their working lives on tours that were presented in the preceding five chapters. It recaps and highlights the major ideas and arguments found in this book. As a means of concluding, it puts forth three key points about live music and its study that are based on the contents and analysis in the chapters. As a major aim of this book was to provide groundwork about a previously overlooked topic, this chapter offers suggestions for future studies that can build upon and expand the research that has been detailed here.
