ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at how discipline has developed there, how it changed with the development of industrial society and an increase in population. Discipline, which was once so effective in maintaining power, has lost some of its effectiveness. In industrialized countries, discipline is in crisis. There are more and more categories of people who are not subject to discipline, so people are forced to think about the development of a society without discipline. The ruling class is still steeped in the older approach. But it is obvious that they must separate themselves in the future from the disciplined society of today. If people want to change state power, they have to change the various power relations that function in society. But the development of scientific knowledge is impossible to understand without taking into account the changes in the mechanisms of power.
