ABSTRACT

Risk Strategy and Planning is the first domain and includes six tasks. The introduction gives a short intro to the domain and underlying responsibilities of the project risk manager within each domain to ease the understanding of the content. The predictive approach you can read about, however, agile and hybrid content are included in the exam but not part of the PMI publications, so read these sections carefully. Appendices A, B, and C include a more comprehensive explanation of the agile and hybrid content. Risk Strategy and Planning aims at creating the risk management plan with input from the risk management strategy, the risk threshold of the stakeholders based upon the willingness to take risks, the assessment of the project environment, preliminary document analysis, and so on. The purpose of the first task is to perform a preliminary document analysis or document review prior to risk identification and development of the risk management strategy and risk management plan.
