ABSTRACT

Risk Analysis is the third domain and includes three tasks. The introduction gives a short intro to the domain and underlying responsibilities of the project risk manager within each domain to ease the understanding of the content. The risk analysis is essential in risk management activities. The risk management activities should have been described in the risk management plan, and this domain executes the qualitative and quantitative risk analysis. The qualitative risk analysis begins with a risk categorization or framework like the risk breakdown structure or prompt lists. The categorizations contain best practices and historical data on risks. The nominal classification, ordinal classification, and classification based upon a risk breakdown structure or prompt list are described in the risk management plan, and the results are documented in the risk register. The agile approach to this domain has an emphasis on some of the same differences as seen in some of the other domains.
