ABSTRACT

Asad Raza recommended interviewing Louise Höjer because they had worked together with Tino Sehgal. In fact, she has worked for Sehgal for over 15 years. She describes a philosophical investment in the work this way: “How can we be different as humans? I think that’s a question that’s always been interesting.” Because Sehgal’s works take a completely social form, he does not use material objects, nor does he allow any form of documentation. Therefore, Höjer thinks about her body as an archive of Sehgal’s work and what that means for the future of his practice and for her understanding of her own practices.
