ABSTRACT

Managements and Boards of organizations across the globe are fraught with multiple priorities that demand their attention and the need for considered and timely decisions. There are important pointers to the specific requirements for type of personnel, training needs, and steps for effective BCM implementation under the aegis of Board/top management. There is a reference to a universal approach that will help organization leaders to plan, execute, and implement the business continuity program effectively while adopting an entity-wide approach for its reinforcement as a corporate program for the benefit of each stakeholder of the organization. The chapter on BCM implementation in O&G and Supply Chain Resiliency offers some key solutions and suggestions. Leaders and senior managers can benefit from the suggestions by the author that elaborate on the challenge in business continuity and how these can be transformed for effective resilience at the enterprise level. The chapter elaborates on the advantages due to role clarity during crisis.
