ABSTRACT
Secularization can take many forms. In this chapter, we discuss how Christians may contribute to making God irrelevant – or relevant – to society by taking as a point of departure how they, in different parts of the world, have argued theologically for engagement to counter climate change – or not. Theoretically, the chapter starts with Olivier Roy’s recent theories and proceeds from them to analyse how Christians tackle climate change in the United States and Norway.
