ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses how the situation of religious pluralism may impact contemporary notions of God and challenges Christian theology to think differently about its relationship with other religious traditions. Taking its point of departure in elements from Lessing, it questions categories that have been used in recent decades to understand this relationship, and proposes some constructive alternatives.
