ABSTRACT
Blended learning makes it possible to have the advantage of face-to-face classes as well as the fruit of online e-learning platforms. It inculcates in the minds of the readers to actually have the knowledge taught and also enables them to acquire knowledge by themselves from online sources. Chapter 1 deals with the basics of blended learning. This chapter provides an overview of the learning process, learning components, various learning styles, and types of learning. It also delivers the basics of blended learning and provides the need for blended learning over traditional learning, including how it is defined, how it is evolved, how it is being utilized in the current education system, and what it has to offer, as well as how to implement blended learning in the teaching practice.
