ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the various open-source courseware and teaching methodologies and relates the readiness of faculty for integration of digital tools and technologies in learning as well as the factors that influence faculty readiness to integrate digital curriculum in teaching. It covers the importance of massive open online course (MOOC), features of online course development, and how learning analytics (LA) is used in MOOC. It also provides an overview of implications of MOOC paradigm in assessments and assessments using LA.
