ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the authors note opportunities for business schools to re-educate a growing group of market business leaders—or become disrupted. Given current worker mobility and continuous changes in building a skilled workforce, conceptualizing and subsequently testing new models for executive education programs within business schools is important for both academia and the business sector. Business leaders need to be the driving force behind talent renewal and focus entirely on their business models, formats, and contents to offer solutions that genuinely cope with this shift that necessitates a completely new executive education ecosystem. This chapter presents a table of key arguments about drivers and impediments for business schools in developing an innovative executive education ecosystem to reskill/upskill Fourth Industrial Revolution leaders.
