ABSTRACT

I have long admired the work of both Sandy King and Sam Wang. I am grateful that both answered the call to share their images, as well as working tips. While Sandy is now well-known for his beautiful carbon prints, until about 2010 his mastery of the kallitype and Vandyke brown printing was stronger. At that time, he used in-camera ultra-large format negatives, sized 7˝ × 17˝ and 12˝ × 20˝.
