ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on crucial period in the life of any entrepreneurial business. Improving the performance of start-up businesses is also the focus of policymakers and politicians in mature, innovation-based economies including the UK and the US, efficiency-driven economies and factor-driven economies such as Egypt, Indonesia and Morocco. Bricolage is thus intimately linked to the learning ability of the entrepreneur and the capability to bootstrap both tangible and intangible resources. The point of this experience was that it provided insight into key factors such as understanding customers, working in teams and the basic routines of business. Entrepreneurial learning underpins the process of accessing a wider range of social contacts. Building dynamic entrepreneurial learning capabilities is of central importance to young entrepreneurs wanting to establish successful businesses.
