‘It is not easy to accept that the focus of analysis is on developing the ability to dream and not on working on repression or splits’ (Ferro [2010] 2015, p. 142). So in what way is the session, instead, a dream of two minds? Ferro’s thinking on this matter stays close to Bion’s, so I feel justified in interspersing their words in what follows.
