ABSTRACT

Chapter 4 discusses the use of markers, which are incidental components applied to indicate the features of words or phrases. Markers are further classified as prepositive and postpositive attachment markers and are elaborated according to the categories. The categories for the prepositive attachment marker are (1) prepositive attachment marker of verb, (2) prepositive attachment marker of ordinal number and (3) prepositive attachment marker of vocative. Moreover, for the postpositive marker, the categories are (1) postpositive attachment marker of modifier, (2) postpositive attachment marker of noun, (3) postpositive attachment marker for primary, (4) plural marker and (5) postpositive attachment marker for pronoun.
