ABSTRACT

Chapter 8 provides discussions on connectives, which are empty words that are placed between words or between sentences and that serve connecting purposes. Such connectives are further categorized into five types. In addition, various topics related to connectives are explored, such as the flexible use of “与” (yǔ; CON; and, with) and “和” (hé; CON; and), the combination of several primaries and the application of parallel nouns without connectives.
