ABSTRACT
While Rome was at the center of artistic display when it comes to visualizing stories about the Macedonian king, this corresponded to a period that was particularly rich in architectural projects, with spaces that were suitable to accommodate frescoes of Alexander’s most popular narratives. Beyond Rome, however, there were also occasions to decorate large walls or create friezes to illustrate antiquity’s heroic figures.
