ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the important step social researchers must take between data analysis and the dissemination of research findings. It is during this process that the social researcher will consider the theoretical implications for their findings. This chapter explores the contexts in which this process takes place. We begin by considering the ‘so what?’ question before moving on to explore the positioning of our research findings by considering agency and structure. The chapter concludes with a reminder that the researcher ought to be aware of to whom the research belongs.
