ABSTRACT

This chapter explores environmental wellbeing and how we need to take care of our environment so it takes care of us. Within the chapter, Bronfenbrenner’s bioecological model is presented as a basis for exploring environmental wellbeing, considering three aspects: our immediate environment and its impact on our wellbeing; the power that our actions and behaviours can have on ourselves and others considering equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging; and finally, reflecting on how to make a positive impact on the world around us. Within the chapter, there are useful reflections and activities to further develop an understanding of this important topic.
