ABSTRACT

Occupational wellbeing is a dimension that has been overlooked until recently, perhaps because the idea of enjoying work may have been seen as unimportant. However, enjoying what we do, and finding our purpose, is key to our wellbeing. This chapter presents a variety of ideas to help students develop an understanding of their values, strengths, talents and passions to support them in learning more about themselves and what they like or dislike, and how, by finding these, they can live a life with purpose and, through this, flourish and thrive in what they do. The chapter includes useful activities students can complete to reflect and find their purpose.
