ABSTRACT

Chapter 7: Creating Systemic Change and Adapting Practices for Different Populations. This chapter covers steps for how to successfully engage schools in adopting mindfulness and acceptance-based programs and how to adapt practices for different populations. Specifically, it covers: creating systemic change within the school-setting, using mindfulness and acceptance practices for youth with developmental or social impairments, and cultural considerations for the use of mindfulness in the schools. A frequently asked questions (FAQs) sheet is included overviewing responses to common questions of stakeholders.
