ABSTRACT
Chapter 8 integrates the main points of this monograph, highlights its explanatory importance in the legal, political and international relations disciplines; and reveals additional potential implications. The value of these implications is threefold: the many affinities sovereignty and cosmopolitanism contain; the potential this view about the synergy between cosmopolitanism and sovereignty can offer to the analysis, understanding and effective management of global issues like territorial disputes, pandemics and terrorism; and guidelines for policy-making in those areas.
