Licensing's Adjacency and Other Lessons They Won't Teach You at School (But You Will Learn at Licensing University®)

This chapter analyzes how adjacent activities at the Licensing Expo like Licensing University^® and the annual awards ceremony and hall of fame inductions establish the field’s legitimacy as an adjacent, rather than ancillary infrastructure for the entertainment industries, while also normalizing hierarchies within the licensing field and safeguarding it against outside encroachment.
