ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses how noticing materials’ movements generates a multitude of pedagogical questions as well as a great deal of expectancy, not just in children’s creativity and innovativeness, but in the play of the material, in the spaces between, and in everyone’s anticipation of what might emerge. The chapter also addresses our surprises, delights, frustrations, puzzlements, and, at times, genuine bewilderment from a pedagogical perspective.
