ABSTRACT
The evening educational classes took the place of cell tasks for Second, Third, and Fourth Stage men. As a serious preparation for a trade or profession which a prisoner might enter on his return to civil life, they were, I think, a complete failure. As a means of diversion and recreation they were greatly appreciated by all.
