ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the art department, its crew, and process. The crew consists of the production designer, art director, set decorator, lead person, swing gang, art department coordinator, set designer, set dresser, and props. More personnel include the armorer, concept artist, assistants, standby painters, greensperson, and the construction team. The construction team consists of the coordinator, foreman, laborers, and more. These are explained as their duties and responsibilities in pre-production, production, and wrap. Finally, the chapter emphasizes the art department’s process from initial design to dealing with locations, to always working one set ahead to get ready and then wrapping out after filming.
