This chapter outlines the grip and electric department with duties and responsibilities for the key grip, gaffer, best boy electric, electrics, generator operator, grips, crane operator, and rigging crew. It also includes how each department operates daily on set, from establishing staging areas to first setup and wrap at the end of the day. The chapter also includes how the grip team lays dolly track and offers an organized way to wrap the truck so that finishing the day can be efficient. Finally, the chapter outlines what goes into the grip and lighting packages and how to deal with equipment rental houses.
