The chapter includes other personnel such as additional hair and makeup assistants, body makeup, and special effects makeup. Their pre-production involves a script breakdown noting any unique hair or makeup needs. The chapter also discusses the department’s daily operations, from setting up in the morning to getting each actor ready for set and wrapping at the end of the day. Other issues include using prosthetics and working with the 1st AD to have actors ready for filming.
