ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a summary of the book as well as commentary on the current trend towards sustainable development goals and sustainable investment globally. The current trend towards social and sustainable investing in industries such as renewable energy is attracting many market participants. From large superannuation and pension funds and green bond markets to local community investors. Many of the successful case studies in this book demonstrated partnerships among government, private and community investors and participants. Non-network solutions worked well in off-grid remote locations and large-scale solar was successful in remote on-grid agricultural communities. These large projects were profitable and provided renewable energy for locals as well as exporting energy to urban infrastructure such as the Sydney Opera House and Coles supermarkets.
