ABSTRACT
Following his brief initial analysis with John Rickman, his entry into military psychiatry in 1941 and his marriage to Betty Jardine, it is as if a light switch was turned on. He quickly set up a momentum of sparkling inspiration with Rickman, based on a psychosocial background derived from the theories of Kurt Lewin.
