ABSTRACT
In Argument #8, we explored the way images can have argumentative force. This takes us beyond the standard linguistic argument. But images are not alone in doing this. In this example, we see the cultural force of a gesture used to convey an argument. It’s another controversial case, but one that rewards careful consideration.
