ABSTRACT
The study of argument has much to learn from the rhetorical tradition as previous examples have shown. A further lesson is that of turning the tables on an opponent by essentially showing that what they say by way of criticism applies equally or more so to themselves. Like the earlier example of counterargument, this is another effective way of rebutting a position.
