ABSTRACT

This book seeks to examine transnational Arabic media discourses and strategies in the coverage of Covid-19. It aims to provide an in-depth textual analysis of the coverage of Covid-19 by the Al-Jazeera and BBC networks, establishing therefore the inextricable link between language and the socio-cultural and political ideologies that contribute to the production of media discourse of Covid-19.
