ABSTRACT
Regardless of where you are in your career or child raising journey, I hope that this book has offered you much to think about as you look to the deep capabilities and endless possibilities of the children in your life. Hopefully it has encouraged you to reflect on the environments you share with your children, your interactions as you connect and the experiences you offer through a different lens – mindful of the opportunities they provide for engagement, the messages of security they convey and the ways you are shaping children’s development every day, in every way, whilst also recognising that a child’s response to any experience you offer will be rooted in the meanings they place on it. Just as it is for any of us, their reactions will be dependent on the moment, the people they are with, even how they slept last night, and they are informed through previous experience.
