ABSTRACT
This chapter guides with making meaningful, clear, accessible imagery that empowers the instructor's narrative according to graphic design guidelines and learning science toward an online signature design. It begins with a review of the visual components contributing to information hierarchy and learning design. A range of samples are presented with descriptions of the key elements leading to their success. A series of small, detailed recommendations follow on how to optimize information processing to engage learning through a signature online course.
