ABSTRACT

This book is written by cognitive psychologists with a common mission to help students learn. This chapter discusses how to go about using this book. There are some pieces of advice that are provided in each chapter, but these are not specific instructions for studying that will work in every situation. Instead, each chapter of this book provides flexible guiding strategies that allow students to take this information and apply it to their unique situations, and multiple concrete examples showing how to use them. This chapter also includes recommendations for how to progress through the book and how to monitor your progress utilizing the new strategies.
