ABSTRACT
This chapter explores advanced cuts and actions for stage combat in theater and film, starting with a section covering safety. Swipes are explored, including leg swipes, belly swipes, and head swipes. Next, the author explains false attacks including stopping short, changing cuts to thrusts, and thrusts changing to cuts, along with change cuts, Half-swording, closing attacks, and hilt smashes are explored and discussed. The author looks at the various pummeling attacks with pommels to the face and belly and closes out the chapter talking about the five cuts Liechtenauer: Zwerchhau, Zornhau, Scheitelhau, Schielhau, and Krumphau.
