ABSTRACT

The seeming chaos on a working set is shown, as it is not rehearsal and perform like theatre, but rehearsal (with a camera) and repeat. Technicians, cameras, lights, and sound all have to be accommodated and catered for. All time is precious, as the expensive camera must be kept rolling as much as possible. The actors need to contribute to such matters as shadowing their fellow actors’ faces and giving good continuity. Shooting tricks are explained, and the differences between a single-camera and multi-camera shoot are outlined.
