Moving on from culture, the book next examines the critical roles that teams and teamworking play in unlocking innovation as a driver of business growth. The importance of having clear, unambiguous job titles is offered as a simple first step towards effective teamworking. A method of charactering the different roles that individuals can play in a team is presented, along with advice on how these can be utilised to optimise team mix and performance. In an interview with Raymond Berglund, Head EMEA of Alvarez and Marsal Healthcare, he describes how reorganising teams and their responsibilities around innovation can significantly enhance the clarity of job scope and give groups a reason to collaborate.
