ABSTRACT
There is not a shared definition of workplace safety or who holds responsibility for workplace safety in theatrical production. This chapter analyzes health and safety measures in place for theatrical production professionals and explore the short-term and long-term effects of these measures. It explores the following questions: What creates a safe production environment? Who has access to safety information? What kinds of safety are valued?
