ABSTRACT

This part of the book presents the world of values and beliefs, i.e. axiological views, ideology, or lack of them, the attitude to democracy and civil society values. An interesting aspect is relationships between different underground factions, including the post-Home Army (AK) and nationalist circles, as well as the attitude to other religions and nationalities. This part also contains the descriptions of religiousness among the underground soldiers. It was necessary to consider whether and when the partisans prayed, how they did it, how they understood religiousness, what religious principles they invoked and which of them they omitted.
