ABSTRACT
AI cannot substitute the human interpreter. It is really a device to augment intelligence via the use of technological platforms that support human intelligent activity. This chapter thus expands upon and elaborates the main premise of the book—namely, the way in which AI may innovatively support the reading, interpretation, and understanding of human-made texts. More specifically, it shows how AI can be used to “dialogue” with texts in order to generate interpretations.
