ABSTRACT

Apple's first breakthrough success came in 1984 with the release of the Macintosh, which opened the modern graphical user interface to the mainstream. In 1985, Steve Jobs was removed from his position in the company as Apple began to struggle. However, in 1997, Steve Jobs returned to Apple, just in time to pull it out of the verge of bankruptcy. Today, Apple operates primarily in the consumer electronics industry and has experienced sustained success. An AirTag is a small tracking device designed by Apple to help people effortlessly keep track of easily lost items such as keys, wallets, and backpacks. Apple's latest endeavor, the AirTag, was intended to be both innovative and socially responsible, while still maintaining its desirability to customers. While the jury is out on whether the AirTag is socially responsible, it is certainly innovative and profitable. Michigan is not the only state that is seeking to have a law specifically designed against the illegal use of AirTags.
