ABSTRACT

Unitary Developmental Theory (UDT) offers a complete process of Developmental Phases that describe normative maturation across the life span which shows high correspondence with those of other theories and models. It also offers psychological and behavioral descriptions of discrete patterns of Habituation Stages in already established patterns along the process. At a more practical and minute level, one of the motivations attaching to the UDT project is that people need to know what kind of system they are involving themselves with. UDT is a modeling of developmental learning that both describes its natural progress from infancy, but also finds the same process as a normative guide to developmental interventions for all human systems which rely on human agency such as people themselves, families, organizations, economies and trans-national bodies, as well as activities associated with such systems.
