ABSTRACT
The focus of this chapter will be introducing the concept of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). This chapter will build on the previous chapter discussions that focused on academics and behavior. MTSS is an organized and systematic approach aimed at preventive measures across academics and behavior. This tiered model takes a graduated approach to modifications, accommodations, and interventions while moving away from reactive and punitive measures.
