ABSTRACT
The final chapter closes the book as it began – in the field. It addresses the question of researching Rainbow Gatherings in a religious frame. The chapter discusses the philosophical and theological aspects of countercultural resistance and the concept of non-theistic religion, as well as the symbolic and ritualistic aspects of crafting, and of the city. Lastly, the chapter discusses aspects of tradition-building as a purposeful response to the changing world.
